Branding Design:
Typecon 2026

Phase #1

For this assignment, I was given the basic information (location, date, etc) for TypeCon 2026: Gestures. Using this information, I was initially tasked with creating 3 distinct posters. While the sticky note was my favorite design overall, I decided that it didn’t suit a branding project.

Phase #2

In the second phase, I adapted and redesigned the poster into a brand identity for use in a typographic spread.



Phase #3


Taking critique from the initial spread design in phase 2, the brand identity was applied to the entire brochure. The original spread was redesigned and placed at the end.
I made a short looping animation to advertise on social media.

The cover and ornamental details highlight what excites me most about art: the intersection between expressive illustration and design. The shapes were created with the bezier curve tool and layered until I got the energy the word “Gestures” implies.
